Ingredients to make Northeastern Cartola:
1 ripe silver banana
100 grams of butter or rennet cheese (thick slice)
1 tablespoon of butter
½ tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon
How to make Northeastern Cartola:
Cut the banana into 3 slices (lengthwise) and the butter cheese into a single medium slice that allows the bananas to be partially covered.
In a non-stick skillet, heat the butter and arrange the banana slices. Beside the bananas, saute the slice of butter cheese (known in the northeast as curd cheese) and let it brown slightly, turning the sides about 2 times.
Tip: If your banana is too ripe, turn it over carefully so it doesn't break.
Arrange the banana slices on a plate and cover with cheese. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture over this northeastern sweet.
Serve the northeastern top hat right away! If you prefer, serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or cream drizzled with honey, it will be wonderful! Enjoy your food!
